OEO Registration and Drop Policy
OEO REGISTRATION AND DROP POLICY
Please note that students are NOT fully registered in Office of Education Outreach courses until their tuition payment is received.
There are two basic methods of enrollment: a paper registration or Instant (online) Enrollment (IE). Here are the details:
INSTANT ENROLLMENT (IE) INSTRUCTIONS
Instant (online) Enrollment (IE) is available for students registering for OEO initial licensure on-site and distance courses. A credit card is required to use Instant Enrollment. Students using Instant Enrollment are immediately registered for their selected course(s).
Click Instant Enrollment Instructions for easy directions. Otherwise, please follow the instructions below when you are ready to enroll in an OEO initial licensure course.
Please note: the best way to see ALL Education Outreach courses listed under Instant Enrollment is to select “Education Outreach Office”under the Course Type heading when searching for courses. The second field is called, "Course Code Number", please type the course number in this box, then hit submit. This will bring up a screen with every course being offered through the Office of Education Outreach by that number. You will be able to select the course that best fits your location needs, (i.e. online, Winchester, the Northern Virginia Campus, etc.) Students using Instant Enrollment will receive a registration confirmation email to the personal email address provided during the IE process.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR SPONSORED STUDENTS: Please note that sponsored students must enroll for courses through their school's website or via a paper registration. Please contact Shenandoah University's Coordinator of Education Outreach at (540)-535-3552 for sponsored student registration questions.

DROP POLICY FOR OEO CLASSES
A student may drop a course and receive a full refund as long as the request is in writing PRIOR to the second meeting of an ONSITE class. If the class is a DISTANCE class, the request must be made within 7 calendar days of the first class.
The drop request must include your name, student ID #, title and location of the course. You must EMAIL your request to drop a class to: Mrs. Jamie Johnson: email@example.com
PLEASE NOTE: Verbal requests to drop a class are NOT honored. No refunds will be issued for dropped classes after the period described above.
COURSE WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Students may withdraw from an OEO course in Fall and Spring according to the published withdrawal dates in Shenandoah University's Academic Calendars. Links to Shenandoah University's Academic Calendars can be found here.
A Summer course withdrawal is based on the length of the course. For OEO Summer courses, a student is able to withdraw prior to 60% of course completion. So the withdrawal date will vary based upon the start date of the Summer course. For example, a Summer Two course may be only six weeks in length. 60% of 6 weeks is 3.6 weeks from the beginning of the course. So students could withdraw from a class anytime up until 3.6 weeks of the course has completed.
For exact Summer withdrawal dates, students should contact the regsitrar's office 540-665-5585.
Note: Technical support, business office and registration support is, at best, limited on weekends and holidays for students. Please refer to your course syllabus for instructor contact information and office hours. Weekend/holiday emails to Education Outreach personnel will be addressed as a priority on Monday mornings or the first workday after a holiday, whichever comes first.
